Everything you need to master Dotbull Warz
Dotbull Warz is a monster-battle game on Moonbeam. It uses complex mechanics including, but not limited to factions, types, terrains, stats, stages, and so on. The challenge for the player would be to decide on the team while keeping the above mentioned strengths and weaknesses of each of their monsters into account.
Dotbull Warz is both Player vs Player (PvP) and also Player vs AI. Initially, the beta will be only for Player vs AI, but you will still be indirectly competing against other players on the global leaderboard.
It will measure the time taken by the player to beat the AI. Please keep in mind that if you don't stay on the same screen during the match, your progress won't count.
The Dotbull Warz beta uses test tokens, and so there is no real fees. You just need to buy match tickets with your test $GLMR. Each ticket is worth 0.2 $tGLMR.
No. As mentioned above, only the match that you DO keep as an ACTIVE tab will be counted. This is to discourage bot automation and session spamming.
Fire > Metal > Cosmic > Earth > Storm > Water > Fire
Light <> Dark
Technology > Nature > Demon > Magic > Technology
Divine <> Endless
There are 8 typings: Fire Earth Water Storm Cosmic Metal Dark Light.
There are 6 factions: Technology Nature Demon Magic Divine Endless.
Factions do 25% extra damage against their weaker faction, and 25% less damage against their weakness faction. This figure is 33% more or less in case of typings.
There are 8 terrains: water, firestorm, evil, pure, thunderstorm, forest, artificial, space. Their effects are only on typings and not factions:
The spaceships in sci-fi movies that made humans dominate spacetime were made of metal. Maybe it's not the best ever reasoning but hey, it is better than Ground being weak to Water in a certain franchise for no apparent reason!
The stats are: ATK (attack), DEF (defence), MANA (mana), SPD (speed), ACR (accuracy). Each starts with a base value and can be +1, +2, -1, -2 in terms of stage as the battle progresses.
The status effects are: burn, poison, frostbite, stun, sleep, daze.
Burn and frostbite lower the attack, poison lowers the defence.
Stun, daze, sleep make you unable to move for three turns. You can get rid of stun, sleep, and daze by switching out, but not burn, poison, or frostbite.
The aura is meant to be a hint about the monster's typing and faction. The left side color reveals the Type while the right side color reveals the Faction.
Each move has a designated accuracy, and each monster has an internal accuracy stat as well. Some of the harder hitting and faster monsters have lower accuracy to prevent the player from sweeping the AI or vice versa.
The PvE version will be available very soon. Please stay updated on our official X handle!
